Hospital Flower Delivery Restrictions in Thailand
Before ordering, it’s important to know that certain flowers, gifts and delivery locations are not permitted under our hospital delivery rules.
1. Hospital wards where we do not deliver flowers or gifts
Lanna Bloom does not deliver flowers to the following hospital units:
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Isolation and transplant units
- Oncology units
Other restricted hospital departments may also be excluded from our delivery service.
Please confirm the patient’s ward before placing an order.
2. Strongly scented flowers
Strong fragrances can be uncomfortable for patients, especially those with allergies or sensitivity to smells.
Some lilies, for example, have a particularly noticeable fragrance.
We do not deliver strongly scented flowers to hospitals.
A gentler choice: soft, lightly scented white roses.
3. Balloons
Balloons may create allergy and safety concerns in hospitals.
Lanna Bloom does not deliver balloons to hospitals, including latex and foil balloons.
4. Maternity and newborn departments
Flowers can be sent to mothers recovering after childbirth in regular wards that accept deliveries.
We do not deliver flowers to NICU or other restricted newborn care units.
What happens if a hospital doesn’t accept flowers?
If the hospital refuses delivery, we will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery location where possible.
Additional delivery charges may apply if another trip or a different address is required. We will explain these costs and ask for your approval before proceeding.
If the order must be canceled, we will refund your payment minus only actual, documented delivery costs already incurred, where permitted by law. No administrative or payment-processing fees apply.
If delivery fails because of our error, we will not deduct delivery costs.

How Hospital Flower Delivery Works
We make the process straightforward, including for customers ordering from overseas.
- Choose your flowers. Select a bouquet and provide the hospital name, patient’s registered name, and a reachable phone number. Include the room or ward number if available.
- Confirm the delivery details. Make sure the patient can receive flowers and that the order follows our hospital delivery restrictions.
- We arrange delivery. Our driver follows the hospital’s delivery instructions. Depending on the hospital, flowers may be handed to the patient or an authorized hospital staff member.
- You receive confirmation. We notify you once the flowers have been handed over.
Please note: Some hospitals restrict photography. We cannot guarantee delivery photos and may provide only written or verbal confirmation. If you would like a photo, please ask the recipient directly.
Prefer something that lasts? A potted orchid has little scent and stays fresh for weeks.
Best Time to Deliver Flowers to a Hospital
Hospital deliveries follow our regular delivery rules. We recommend delivery before 18:00 (6 PM). Later delivery may be possible with prior confirmation.
What Information Do You Need When Ordering?
To help us coordinate delivery, please provide:
Hospital delivery details
- Correct hospital name and branch. Some hospitals have similar names or multiple buildings.
- Patient’s registered name. Use their full name rather than a nickname whenever possible.
- Ward or room number. Helpful, but not always necessary.
- Contact number. A phone number for the patient or somebody who can help coordinate delivery.
- Delivery date. Choose your preferred date and time.
Tip: If the hospital has several buildings, sharing the correct building name or entrance location can help prevent delays.
